This prestigious award is to recognise the best oral presentation delivered during the Presidential Symposium held at the Blood 2022 Meeting as decided by the ANZSBT Council. The Council will initially select abstracts for the Presidential Symposium. The award (with a prize of $750) will be judged on quality and originality of the work and presentation. This award is open to ANZSBT members and non-ANZSBT members. The prize will also include a 1 year complimentary membership of the ANZSBT if the winner is not an ANZSBT member.
In the event that the Presidential Award is won by a non-member, ANZSBT will also award a Member's Award recognising the highest contribution via an abstract or presentation from a Member (with a prize of $500). This award will be decided by the ANZSBT Council.

To be eligible you must be 35 years or less on the last day of the meeting (14/09/2022). For abstracts submitted by more than one author/group, you have to have been the primary researcher/author and the Young Investigator must attend the Meeting to present the abstract. The prize will be awarded at the ANZSBT Annual Scientific Meeting as the best quality improvement abstract (presented as a poster or free communication).
